There are a fair few yearly photography awards within the Royal Navy/Marines. Here are some of the winning submissions from 2012.
The Peregrine Trophy
Awarded to the section/unit that produces the best six image portfolio concerning Service-related subjects. These are the winning images from 2012 shot by photographer Leading Airman Arron Hoare serving on HMS Protector.
The Peregrine Trophy is the most prominent photography award within the Royal Navy/Marines.
The Royal Navy Photographer of the Year
Awarded to an individual for the best four image portfolio concerning Service-related subjects. These are the winning images from 2012 sumbitted by photographer Petty Officer Airman Burke.

The submission of digitally manipulated images for any of the awards is disallowed. This is something for me to consider with regards to the Photography and the Printed Page module. Given that I'm dealing with Navy related subject matter, the images in my book need to be in keeping with their ethics regarding photographic practice.
